How to check live CPU and memory usage — kubectl top

You suspect a pod or node is running out of CPU or memory and want live numbers.

Placeholders follow the cheatsheet: web is a deployment/pod name and app.yaml is your manifest. Most commands act on the current namespace — add -n <ns> to target another one.

kubectl top pods              # per-pod usage (needs the metrics-server installed)
kubectl top nodes             # per-node usage
