How to filter rows in SQL — WHERE
You need only the rows that meet a condition — here, employees earning more than 80000, best paid first.
Every example runs against the cheatsheet's sample tables — departments(id, name), employees(id, name, dept_id, salary, manager_id, hired_on) and orders(id, emp_id, amount, ordered_on) — and was executed and verified against SQLite, so you can paste it in and get the same result.
SELECT name, salary FROM employees WHERE salary > 80000 ORDER BY salary DESC;
-- Alice 120000 / Bob 95000 / Carol 88000
