starship — a shell prompt that tells you things

Git branch and status, language versions, command duration — right where you look, in a minimal, fast, customizable prompt.

On Debian/Ubuntu, most of these tools are also one sudo apt install away.

brew install starship # install
eval "$(starship init zsh)" >> ~/.zshrc # hook into your shell, then cd into any git repo
